PoKeys Lost Connection

Restore factory defaults — quickly reset the device configuration or recover from a bad firmware update. Use recovery mode when the configuration editor can no longer reach the device.

2000 Series (X15-02-24)

2000 Series with X15-02-24

1. Disconnect the device from the power supply.
2. Locate the 6-pin ISP connector and short the indicated pin to GND.
3. Reconnect power.
4. The green status light flashes rapidly and the device connects in recovery mode.
5. Open the PoKeys configuration application.
6. It should detect the X15-02-24 in recovery mode:
   • Clear settings erases the configuration (confirm on the next dialog).
   • Recover repairs a bad firmware update.
7. Unplug the device and remove the short.
8. If you cleared settings, replug, connect, and run Device → Clear settings in device.

1000 Series (PoKeys56E/57E)

1000 Series with PoKeys56E/57E

Use this when the configuration editor cannot reconfigure the device because of endless key presses.

1. Disconnect the PoKeys device from USB / power.
2. Find the pin labeled RST (or pin 54).
3. Short it to GND and reconnect power.
4. The green light flashes rapidly and the device connects in recovery mode.
5. Open the PoKeys configuration application.
6. It should detect the device in recovery mode:
   • Clear settings erases the configuration.
   • Recover repairs a bad firmware update.
7. Unplug the device and disconnect RST from ground.
8. If you cleared settings, replug, connect, and run Device → Clear settings in device.

The software backs up the current configuration (except keyboard macro sequences) on each connection start, as backup1.pkc, backup2.pkc, and backup3.pkc (oldest) in C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\PoKeys\.
