X15-41-01 Wireless MPG Pendant

The X15-41-01 is a battery-powered wireless MPG (manual pulse generator) pendant that pairs with a USB receiver installed in the control.

Each kit consists of these parts. Locate them before disposing of any packing. The callouts below are data over the layout photo — the part names are searchable and translatable even though the original image had the numbers baked in.

2000 Series control

Mount the wireless receiver antenna (1) to the exposed connector next to the lower back access cover. Tighten by hand — do not over-tighten. The antenna extension cable (2) is already installed.

Remove the lower back access cover with a Phillips screwdriver and connect the antenna extension cable (2) to the wireless pendant USB receiver (3). Connect the USB receiver (3) to an available USB port inside the lower back access cover.

Remove the protective rubber cover (8) from the pendant (7), remove the battery door (9), and install the two AA power cells (5) per the diagram inside the compartment. If desired, mount the hand wheel knob (4) to the MPG dial.

The pendant (7) and USB receiver (3) in each kit are paired by an ID number printed on a sticker on both devices. The receiver must be plugged into the control for the pendant to work. If the pendant cannot find the receiver at power-on, it prints Lost RF on its screen.

2000 Series control

Open Mach4 and select Service (A) → Maintenance (B) → Interface Config (C). In the MachMotion Interface Config window, open the User Interface tab (D), select your device (E), click Add (F), then Save (G).

1000 Series control

Open the Settings tab and click Configure, or use the menu Configure → Plugins → MachMotion → User Interface.

See User Interface for the full device-configuration workflow.

  • Axis selector — the axes jogged while positions 4/5/6 are selected are configurable.
  • Require Confirmation — when checked, actions such as Zero Axis require a second press.
  • Function buttons — four configurable buttons, each with a pressed and released command.

The pendant is turned on/off by the large silver button on the front.

  • Zero Axis zeroes the axis selected by the axis-selector knob.
  • Feed +/- and Rapid +/- change overrides by 10% (by 2% when within 0-10%).

Four lines: (1) enabled state or active alarm, (2) control state such as Idle or File Run, (3) name and position of the selected axis, (4) the last button pressed or a pending confirmation. If the pendant loses its receiver, the screen clears and shows Lost RF.

Symptom The pendant screen shows "Lost RF".

Likely cause Receiver not connected, control off, weak batteries, or out of range.

Fix
  1. Check the USB receiver connections. Remove the lower back access cover and confirm the USB receiver is seated and the antenna extension cable is secure.

    Older pendant receiver

If you have an older pendant, the receiver may look different (dongle style). This is uncommon.

  2. Replace the AA power cells. Remove the rubber cover (8) and battery door (9) and install two new cells (5). Do this even if the battery gauge still shows two bars — it is not always accurate.

  3. Run the diagnostic tool. Place it in C:\Mach4\Plugins, open a command prompt in that folder, and run it. You should see it connect to and immediately disconnect from the pendant.

If you do not see the connect/disconnect sequence, verify: the USB receiver is plugged into the control; the extension cable runs from the receiver to the bulkhead antenna jack; and the antenna is firmly attached (do not bend the center conductor).

  4. Replace the pendant if all physical connections are verified and the utility still cannot connect.
